About Pulse Counselling

Our Approach

At Pulse Counselling, our priority is creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. Together, we’ll explore what’s on your mind, uncover new perspectives, and work toward meaningful steps that help you heal and move forward.

Every client’s journey is unique. That’s why our approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, and culturally sensitive. We take time to listen to your story, respect your pace, and tailor each session to your needs.

We offer counselling in English and Filipino, both in-person in Calgary and online across Canada, so you can access care in the way that feels most comfortable for you.

Meet Gray

Hello, I’m Gray — counsellor and founder of Pulse Counselling.

I know what it’s like to go through difficult seasons. My own experiences with depression, grief, and starting over in a new country taught me the importance of having a space where you feel understood and supported. These experiences shape the way I practice psychotherapy today: with empathy, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s resilience.

I am a:

  • Registered Professional Counsellor – Provisional (RPC-P) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA #5009)

  • Registered Therapeutic Counsellor – Candidate (RTCc) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT #3919)

In every session, my focus is on creating a safe and confidential environment where you can reflect, grow, and explore new ways of coping. My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive.

What to Expect

Beginning counselling can feel like a big step, especially if it’s your first time. Here’s what the process usually looks like at Pulse Counselling:

  • Your First Session
We’ll start by getting to know each other and talking about what brought you here. This is a chance for you to share your concerns, ask questions, and see if counselling feels like the right fit. Together, we’ll begin to outline your goals and what you hope to gain from therapy.

  • Therapeutic Process
Counselling is a collaborative process. Each session is guided by your needs — sometimes it’s about exploring feelings and experiences more deeply, and other times it’s about learning practical tools and strategies to use in daily life. You set the pace, and we’ll move in a way that feels safe and supportive.

  • A Safe and Confidential Space
Everything you share in counselling is held with respect and strict confidentiality. My role is to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment.

  • Flexibility in How We Meet
Sessions are available in-person at my Calgary office or virtually across Canada. Many clients choose the option that best fits their lifestyle and comfort level, and you’re welcome to shift between the two as needed.

Let’s begin together — book your first session.
